Jurala isa multipurpose project, constructed across river Krishna with a capacity of 9.74 TMC, which caters to the irrigation needs of Wanaparthy and Gadwal Districts and it is also a popular tourist destination. Very good weekend getaway and picnic spot

Jurala Project is was a big water resource in Mahbubnagar District but now it is located in Wanaparty District oproxmatly 60 to 70 kilometres from Mahbubnagar via Devarkhadra it is almost 50 years old it has 50 Gates free visiting no other facilities available shops are there beautiful place can visit once bus facility is there Pushkaralu place also there can fishing with hooks not with nets food also available raw fish can buy at 100 per kg.

Very nice place 162 kilometre from Hyderabad the road is very very good I mean the Highways very neat and good road basically it's a damn but you will see lots of water you can see several Views From downside and the upper side of the dam interesting thing is you will see people are selling the fish by keeping them and inner part of the water if it is a hot day you will feel more warmer make sure if you are going in hot day to have umbrella or something protecting your head.

It's is quite a big dam on the Krishna river, and on the other side of the dam you you can go and sti for a while, I recommend you not to do during sunny day. It is a dirty place down the dam but you cna have good scenery. It also has a picnic stop just dow the dam.

Jurala reservoir is the starting point of river Krishna in telugu states receiving water from narayanpur reservoir .. located 18 km away from gadwal and road is narrow but so far well maintained.. no proper parking area ... but u can travel all along stretch of reservoir .. lovely scenic one to watch in full flow .. at the reservoir some locals catch the fish & make it 🤪.. its delicious and served afresh ...

I went to reservoir in the month of October. It's a good place for long drive in which I could see rain fall, hot sun and also sunset. An average picnic spot along with civil engineering tadka. Must experience things are fresh fish available which would cost around Rs80/kg + Rs20/kg for cutting. You have to be smart while you bargain. The 2 star which lags behind is it's male dominated and along with that they all are there for just drinking. Also it is yet to develop and has less options.
